Ok - let me explain it better.
I have a user called JohnDoe and he is a member of the Administrator role on my portal site. When I login as JohnDoe and go to the File Manager screen it shows that Administrators have Read and Write access (check boxes checked and grey out) Alternatively I created a user role called ImageUpload, and made JohnDoe a member of that role too. I gave that role Read and Write access to the folder too, as seen when I go to the File Manager page.
When I login with JohnDoe and go to the Create News Articel page, in the textbox area I click on the button "Insert Image From Gallery" and this pops up a new window showing me thumbnails, etc... I pick an image from my harddrive and click upload. A message in the message textbox says: Your permissions do not allow you do upload images.
Grrrr? Has anyone else had this problem?
In addition - if I go to the File Manager page and click Synchronize Database and File System the check boxes I checked to give my user roles Read & Write access to folders are sometimes unchecked after I click, and sometimes they stay checked... |
