I can't figure out how to make the expired articles act right. By that I mean, they should disappear from the News Article list but automatically appear in the appropriate month in the Archive list, right? But they don't, unless one clicks the box, "Show all hidden and expired articles." I want them to show up without having this option there. ALso, to make matters worse, when one clicks that box, they get all the articles, not just the ones for that month. I think this has been reported and am just checking up on the status of it.

NewsArchives sorts the list by month only. Can we change that to sort by category? Is this done by the filtering options and through re-writing the style sheet or code (sorry, I'm not the code person here...I'll have to ask for that if it's needed).

Hmm, they don't appear in the archive list when expired? (Are you using the latest version?) Is your site online so I can take a look?

There will be a NewsCategories module to do exactly what you want for the 2nd part of the question.
