I have been speaking to several clients and they all are looking for a shoutbox right now. One of the examples that I was given seemed fairly simple. On the back end it has some neat features like being able to change how the shoutbox lines were formatted for each line. It also allows permissions to delete a line based on user groups. Is this something that will be released soon? If not do you have a more recent version that uses Ajax that we could get the source and run with?

I've been looking at some jquery ones that would handle this -- the current code could be handled a lot better using it.

You could also look for ones where you just copy the script in a text/html as well.

I've been looking at different versions out there but nothing is very tightly integrated with DNN and the user ability. I guess there is one somewhere that would allow the use of tags in it but I am still trying to hunt one down that allows for it. I was hoping that the Shoutbox had been updated with Ajax so that it would just be a simple upgrade for us to do. The regular functionality is good for shoutbox but it just needs some ability to modify the appearance and some tweaking for the management of items in the shoutbox itself (mainly deletion rights for admins).
