Hi,

I have one question please. I have used your instructions from here: http://www.ventrian.com/Resources/Projects/TinyMCEProvider.aspx for TinyMCE, and it is working just fine... this easy solves the problem of stopping the users to see structure if the site and as well as directories...

But then it seems that is the problem for admin to add the pics to the content,etc...

Is there any way to switch on module or page level between TinyMCE and FCK?

So, in this case user can have in forum and some other modules TinyMCE, and admins FCK where needed (as for content pages, etc)

Thanks. Regards, D.

This is a very good question! I would prefer a solution with onyl one Editor (TinyMCE) and a Plugin.
I am looking for a solution and today i made one stepp forward. I found a generally working Plugin with which I can Upload images and manage folders.

The netImageBrowser Plugin. A Demo you find under this URL.

http://www.ilyax.com/imagebrowser/

As far as know it should be genreally possible to hide Toolbar Icons from users.

Currently I am fighting with 2 Problem. I can´t get the context menu running and I can´t set the Base-Folder dynamically to the current portal (only hard code).

Maybe Scott and others would like to bring the TinyMCE Provider forward and make this Plugins running with me. If we find a solution to show this Button only to defined groups of users this could also be a solution for you!?

Hi Stephen, thank you for reply...

Yes, I would prefer as well just one editor - this is very awkward problem:

1.       Generally fck is just fine, but I don’t like for users to have the access at directories or the structure (pages) of the site;

2.       To do each instance of fck is more-or-less pointless as don’t lead anywhere; to have, on the other hand, the code for creating folder for users is too untidy, and leaves big q’s “what would happen when new updates are up”; yes there are third party modules who sort out this issue, but is related just for the actions in particular module;

3.       Problem with tinymce is that restrict some features for admins which are available in fck – but however, it sorts out problem under 1.

4.       The best solution would be to have the kind of choice on page or module level, and lets say if in the web.config default is fck, then if I want to have in some instances tinymce, than I can change it on module or page level...

Thank you - will check this plugin how it works...

Regards. D

Hi Daydo,

I made one big stepp, i solved my problem with the path to the "HomeDirectory"! I got this work now! The second problem is the Context Menu, this does not want to work at the moment.
Maybe together we find a solutionfor this.

Currently I am "fighting" with the jQuery Context Menu which is used in the Plugin. At first I need to get thi running generally, or build another solution for the add/delet buttons. The Uplaod seems to work, as fas as I testet this.

If anyone would like to help me with this and to make this available to the community, just contact me with a PM.
