Hello,

I hope you can help. I was previously billing customers in £ UK pounds, I have now chnaged to billing in USD as the vast majority are from the US.

I have not increased the price, but are billing in the equivalent USD amount.

The problem is that when a user goes to re-subscribe they now see their previous subscription payment in USD - when it was actually UK pounds, so they think we have increased the price by a large amount when they see the re-subscription bill - which is actually USD rather than UK pounds

Is there any way to list old invoices in UK pounds and all new transactions in the USD?

Many thanks,

Lee

Hmm, I don't think the receipt table stored currency, only the original amount.

The module would need to be changed, not sure how we get the back history data loaded in though.

You could run an update on the receipts table and convert the old amounts to the USD equivalent.

converting to the USD equivalent is probably the best option, the only problem could possibly be if they then compare the price to their PayPal account receipt as it will not be exactly the same due to the exchange rate changing daily. - This could be a problem for companies and their accounting.

How big a job would it be to change the module? I potentially could sponsor the change if you think it's possible.

I'm eager to find a solution to this as I'm getting daily enquiries.

If there is a sponsorship option, I would also be interested in adding a discount coupon feature to the module or some sort of discount available for re-subscrobers.

Thanks,

A few options, you could get a historic listing of exchange rates in a table and run a script to update old one to the new currency.

Or I could add an additional column into the receipt table to store currency, you would then just run a script to update old receipts so they display it in the old format. This would take a few hours to implement on my side.

The second option sounds the best and most reliable as these receipts are going back a few years now.

Let me know what you think this will cost, you can contact me direct on email or skype if you wish.

I would also be interested in the Discount Coupon feature so it may be worth having a think about potential time and cost for that as well.

Many thanks,

Lee
