For some reasons, Add files not working for me.. When i click select and choose a file to upload, then windows logon pops up and asking me for user credential.. when i give the credentials, the upload process just hangs in there and nothing is happening. Am i missing something? My website is AD Authentication enabled. Is there any User manual available for File Links module ?

Please help!

Hi Saran,

The flash uploader doesn't work for windows authentication because flash doesn't support http authentication.

The only work around is for me to create an alternative uploader or you could try making just the file anonymous access (the one it posts to).

Hi Scott,

 

If you could fix this, it would be great! This little bug restricts me to use this wonderful module when i enable AD authentication.. I tried giving Anonymous access for that folder alone in IIS manager.. but it didnt work either.. Any other ways?

Please help.

This is by design in flash, it will require me to use a different uploader.

It didn't work for the folder? I'm not sure then.

You have any plans to replace the flash uploader with any uploader which works with AD authentication.. any time soon?

I have bene looking at ajax options, specifically jquery which is supported in the core of DNN.

There would still be an option for flash, but it would be something you could switch between.

I have a few other enhancements scheduled first, so it would be unlikely to be in the next few weeks.
