I tried to install News Articles module with the latest version. However, I saw only Article Archives and Latest Article in the module list in the top of the page. I removed and reinstalled again. However, it can't improve. And I saw error in the module definition page when I tried to reinstall.

i am having the same issue and came here to look for a solution.

I have a fresh install of DNN 5.

I used the NewsArticles.00.07.30.zip from the downloads section of this site.

The install went well, but when looking to add the News Article module, i couldn't find it.

In my list, i have:

News Articles Archive

News Articles Handout

News Articles Latest

 

Any ideas why i cannot see the News Articles module?

But i still cannot see it in my Select Modules dropdown list.

Scott, I have the same issue with News Articles on DNN 5.0.0.  Have you found a resolution yet?  Below are my details...

OS: WIndows Server 2003
Clean install of DNN 5.0.0
Logged in as Host
Went to Module Definitions > Install Module.
Navigated through the "Install Wizard"
Installation appeared to have completed successfully -- no error messages in the log.
Went to the page I want to install on.
From the Modules dropdown in the Control Panel I only see "News Articles Archives", "News Articles Handouts" and "News Articles Latest". 
When I go to the Module Definitions Page I only see the definitions for "News Articles Archives", "News Articles Handouts" and "News Articles Latest".
Attempt to put any of the displayed modules on the page generate (zzzzz = the module I attempted to put on the page)
Error: DnnForge - zzzzz  is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Could not load type 'Ventrian.NewsArticles.zzzzz'. --->

Attached is a PDF with screen shots and copy of the install log.

Also, the Module seems to work fine on 4.9.1.

Scratch the attachment.  I guess it's too big because of the screen-shots (1.02 MB)

Scott,  I neglected to mention that the version of News Articles I installed is "00.07.30".  Also, I emailed that PDF to your support email address.

I just wanted to followup and make sure you got my email (to support) with the login information for my site.  There is no rush as this is a personal site that I am just starting up.  There are some other issues I ran into that I'll need to wait for 5.0.1 to resolve.

Last night I upgraded to DNN 5.0.1 and tried installing New Articles again.  I have the same issue.  The account I created for you is still active if you have time to take a look.  See my email to you (from CARIZZIO-at-ISILM-dot-COM).  I can send again if you need me to.
