Hi guys,

As everyone is wanting for Scott to provide enhancements and feature updates, I thought it would be beneficial if we gather a list of items that can be sponsored.

Please list the features and enhancements you require and how much you are willing to pay for that item. If we can get a good list together and enough money, then maybe some of the things we want done can get done.

I strongly believe that Scott should be paid for the time he spends on these modules and as such I have already sponsored some key items for Property Agent, with more to come. Some of us have paid for features that are used by other members and I think it's only fair if everyone chips in.

So get your ideas together and let's see what comes of this. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO IDEAS. LET's KEEP THIS A SIMPLE LIST ONLY.

I would like to be able to add custom fields to the contact form.

Ezample:

For a propertyt listing, contact form may ask the user to provide a price range

For cars for sal site, a make and model field maybe asked

For an accommodation site a date from and date to and quantity of people maybe asked

I searched the forums and saw some old posts about an "availability calendar" for PA. Did this ever go anywhere or is it on your horizon?

This would be a really great component for anyone using PA to display property rental listings or for that matter rental listings of any kind.

Most of the vacation rental sites out there provide the ability for users with permissions to add and edit dates on an online calendar, and then the calendar is displayed to the end user, usually in a three month format, starting with the current month. The calendar shows "available dates", and "booked dates" in different colors, making it easy for users to see when the property is available.

Having a feature like this will certainly increase the number of inquiries received, and they would also save time, as folks like me would not have to answer inquiries for dates on which the property is already rented.

Anyway, my two cents.

I'm writing a availability and reservation system which is a plugin to Ventrian Systems Property.

Its 50% done, will be finish end of April.

Here is just a sample on my "staging server"

THere is a lost of modules being added:

a) AvailabilitySearch (Realtime)

b) Reservations (Realtime)

c) Templates

d) Hook in with Property Agent Brokers (Owner -= establishment owner, Broker = Travel Agent, Super user - Admin )

e) Scheduler (for omner an agent booking) using DayPilot (see dayPilot.org)

f) Reservation Optimizer (e.g : system will optimize people into room definition so to make most of availbility ... how to fit 10 reservations into your 30 identical defined rooms as to optimize availability(

g) Build in map creator from yahoo or google once establishment provide their latitude and lonitude.

h) Closest POI to an establishment. (listing stuff from another Property agent module (template) in this property agent module ... your one template is for example points of interest. When you view and establishment, you can get a top(x) list with distances to the POI. POIs links then take you to the POI as in property agent template.

i) online payments

j) manual payment

k) whatever else I feel like writing for my client.

Last night I decided to go with DNN5.... the stuff on the URL above is still 4.9, but I got tired of struggling between developers component I have for .NET3.5 and old .net 2 stuff in DNN4.x.
So this add-ins i'm developing will only be tested with DNN5.x

Off course, if I want to say it works with ventrians property agent, I will let the owners of Property Agent first have a look at my final stuff before I will claim it!!

Scott thanks for the reply. How would this be done? Sorry if I missed something. What I envisioned is a list of properties with the ability to print a handout of the list.
