Hi,

Looking for some tips how to get whitelisted with Yahoo...I keep getting this message almost evertime  someone registered on my site using a Yahoo email..

Failed Recipient: user@yahoo.com
Reason: Remote host said: 421 Message from (122.201.85.10) temporarily deferred - 4.16.50. Please refer to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/defer/defer-06.html
or

Failed Recipient: user@yahoo.co.nz

Reason: Remote host said: 421 4.7.0 [TS02] Messages from 122.201.85.10 temporarily deferred due to user complaints - 4.16.56.1; see http://postmaster.yahoo.com/421-ts02.html

It seem to be quite a commom problms according to many forums.

http://www.ahfx.net/weblog.php?article=107      and  http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=684954

I also  have tried many times to contact  Yahoo ,and  filling out 5 forms in the last 8weeks but nothing happen !!
My webhost Postmaster  just say its up to Yahoo to fix the problem
I am on share sever hosting with a host company in Sydney and I dont want to move host as i am happy with my current sever speed performance . How do i find out if Yahoo is blocking my IP or my Domain name ?

I would gladly appreciate any helps ..

Hi,

I have the same issue as you described. What's the email program you use?

If you are using SmarterEmail, have a look at the article - http://www.smartertools.com/portal/KB/a129/general-yahoo-deferment-domain-keys-im.aspx

Also, when I send an email to hotmail accounts, it never gets delivered. When I asked for help from SmarterMail, amazingly they pointed that this may due server hardware. See this article - http://www.smartertools.com/portal/KB/a148/general-connection-timeouts-mailserviceexe-crashes.aspx

Hope this helps.

Just wanted to say thanks..  I wasn't looking for a solution to the yahoo defer problem I'm having right now, but I stumbled on this post.  I have made the changes suggested by smartermail and will wait to see what happens.
