We just went live with a new version of our site and used Ventrian Modules for the article publishing.

I've used the News Articles module plus the Child Links module on the site with plans to also use the feedback module in the future.

As the source was available, it made it quite easy and flexible for us to put together a couple of add-on modules including an Article Summary with RSS down the left-hand side of each page on the site, and an additional module that displays the Article Publishing (Admin) settings for Authenticated Users.
