I have a site running on 3.2.2 which I want to move to a new server running on 4.7.0. The problem is that I have several other portals on both installations. There are several hundred articles on the site that I can't afford to lose and will need to 'copy' across. I'm thinking of upgrading the source site to 4.70 and then writing some scripts to transfer the news articles across to the new server. Does anyone have any experience of doing this or can offer some pointers? Many thanks,

Do you need to move news articles, or are you moving the entire DNN instance? If you know how to move tables/procs, you can do that as well.

It's just one portal I want to move across and both instances have multiple portals with multiple news articles instances. Rather than trying to attack it as a block, I'd thought I'd import categories and authors, associated images, users. Then the main articles, and then pages comments, ratings. I can see I'm going to need some intermediate steps to convert userids and file ids. I'm sure there are some pitfalls I'll come across - I'd be happy for any suggestions.
