I'm playing around with those cool tabs in a custom module now and thought you may have already encountered this (perhaps with the file picker) and might be able to help.
If you do a postback on a tab other than the first one, how can you get the page to return that tab as active rather than have the page return and reshow the first tab?
So for instance in your news articles if you uploaded a new file attachment, how did you get it to stay on the Appearance Tab rather than go back to the first Summary Tab.
Thanks,
Jason
Ah yes, I had this problem on another system I worked on, I made the tabs literal controls and depending which one you would select would enable that tab. Luckily for news articles there is not much posting back, (well I spoke to soon, the image selection). Thanks for bringing this up ^^
Ahhhh yes. I was thinking that literals might be the way to go but wasn't sure. Thanks!
Although I thought there might be a way to call javascript to dynamically change the active tab somehow. I'll do the literal control. It's easy. Thanks. |

Hi Scott,
Sorry to hassle, but any idea when this and the archive feature will ship ?
I have a site that makes extensive use of News Articles that is due to go live in the next day or so - should I wait...? (could push it back to Monday...)
Thanks,
Mark |

I'm just localising the screen now, all the functionality is complete for the create article screen and the archives module is already bundled in as well. (completed that a week or so ago). |

| Latest version is out.. the next task is to insert an article manager that will roll-up the my articles + approve articles screen (as well as remove the hidden + expired checkbox from current articles). |

Thanks Scott !
I'll get you some feedback from the editors/contributors once the site goes live.
Any idea why I'm not getting the tabs showing in Create Article ? The text for 'Summary', 'Details', 'Appearance' etc is there but not the tabs .... |

| Try shift-refresh, the stylesheet has been updated and might be cached locally |

Hi Scott, I was looking at the images you posted and I downloaded NewsArticles.00.05.23 and I don't see any of the tabs? Is there a setting I have to turn on?
Thanks Rick |

| It was removed into 1 page due to popular consensus, it was more efficient to enter the data on 1 page then click other tabs. |

| I'm not sure it was popular consensus. It seemed to be one or two users who wouldn't take no for an answer.. |

I just thought it would be nice to tab instead of allot of scrolling. |
