In the admin options, I set the username display mode to "username" but the the full name still shows.  I found where I can change it in the template but the setting is misleading.   Does this setting still affect anything or should it be removed?

Hi Jay, long time no see, hope everything is going well.

You are right, I need to add a token called configuredUsername or something like that, because at the moment that setting really doesn't do anything (i think).

We can't use the articles at the moment, because real names anywhere on the portal is a privacy issue. I tried to make a template with [USERNAME] but it does not show up. So I guess we'll have to make due without knowing who wrote the articles...

You should be able to use:-

  • [AUTHORUSERNAME]
  • [AUTHORFULLNAME]
  • [AUTHORFIRSTNAME]
  • [AUTHORLASTNAME]

On my articles when comments are added the user's full name is diplayed, what do I change to display user's username?

You will need to change the comment template, (comment.item.html), you would replace [AUTHORFULLNAME] to [AUTHORUSERNAME] if you wanted username for example.

I apologise for this, I'll be adding a [AUTHOR] tag soon that will key of the configured setting. (so you won't have to change templates)

FYI, the latest release has the [AUTHOR] tag.

Excellent, the AUTHOR tag is exactly what I'm looking for.  Is there a list of which tokens are available for the templates and their function?  I have had a browse through the forum but don't see anything, esp. including the changes introduced in .03.

I'll be placing a pinned post very soon with the complete list of tokens and where they are valid in each file.
