I am trying to put an image into the summary. In the edit mode, it allows me to do this, but when I view the blog, there is not image displayed. I did a view source and the image code is not even there.
Are images stripped from the summary? |

You can edit the "site templates" for most layout files including the blog template. Looking at the blog template, it doesn't include the image. You can include it by adding:- [IMAGE], [IMAGETHUMB:100], etc. A complete list of tokens can be found here. |

I thought those were used when you are trying to associate an image with an article. I am trying to add an image into the summary using the Rich Text Editor control. The image is added by clicking the Insert/Edit Image button on the editor control and then following the prompts.
When I do this, it adds the image and displays it in the editor control, but when I go to the page where the summary is actually displayed, it does not appear.
If I add an image into the Details, using the editor control, the image displays correctly in the control and on the page where the actual entry is viewed.
Is my issue clear now? If not, I will provide more information. Thank you. |

no, when I did a view source, the image wasn't even there. I am not sure I understand what you mean by "Are your modifications taken into account" What modifications? Well, at least I know that it is supposed to work. Now I can try to figure out what I am doing wrong. Thanks for the response. |

| If you are inserting the image directly into the text/html, it's the responsibility of the text editor to display those images out. Is your site online so we can take a look? |

my site is online, but this page is not ... and it is not showing anything anyway. It basically just disregards any img that has been put into the code (for the summary only). The image will display on the summary text/html editor - the image will show and, in html view, I can see the img tag. If the summary is supposed to be showing images, and others are able to dispaly images correct, then I will try reinstalling and see what happens. |

Check your summary template. You might have truncated the output using summary:xxx and it might be removing the image. Or try inserting an image at the very start of the summary text to see if it gets picked up. There's nothing else that would really cause this... unless someone has made a special template with a style that removes images... is it your template or made by someone. Rob |

The image path may also be a local path that you can see through the text editor as well, that's why we asked to take a look. I really need to see the page before I can provide further assistance (support@ventrian.com) |

| Robert, I just read your message on my way back here to reply that this was exactly the issue. I found that I had put Summary:500 and this removed the image. Thanks for all your help on this issue. |
