Hello, I'm really interested in the news article module but had a few questions. Please realize I'm a major newbie to this module and DNN... 1) Can I set a latest entries by category on another page? For example on the front page of my site have the last 3 entires for the news category XYZ? If so does this have to have the same template as the source? Basically trying to figure out if I can have more of a link format on the main page and a richer blog like format on the source page. 2) Are their template examples? I've seen others that have AddThis or other social bookmarking functionality built into their templates. 3) What is the release schedule like? Some vendors offer a subscription but only release every 12-14 months while others release monthly or quarterly. Just looking to see is where Ventrian fits in. 4) I noticed that all of the modules seem to be in .Net 1.1. Is there a plan to move the platform to 2.0 or 3.5? Just thinking ahead for Sept. when 1.1 is desupported.

I just replied to your PM as well. 1) Yes, using the latest articles module. Yes, this has the same template in view options. You can also use "add existing module" and filter by category. 2) There are a few in the news articles forums. 3) The releases are announced in the announcement forum here. You can see the volume there. 4) Yes, some have already moved, and some are in the progress of moved. They will all be at 2.0 very soon.
