I would like to not show /use the Categories link at all but cannot find it or any switch for it?

Also, there seems to be a 14px high spacing table below the list view top links.
This makes getting a tight layout difficult / impossible.
In many ways it would be useful if these user and admin links were abstracted into a sub module. This would allow much greater flexibility with layout and style.
