Hey Scott, I would like to request the attached image to show in the RSS fields (if it exists).

I just subscribed. Very useful modules.

For the Articles module: Is there a way I can modify your rss in order to show the image when using the feed?

I have another module which takes in an rss feed. It has a nice display which will find the summary, link and first image if one exists.

I looks like the article system is not exposing the image element in the rss.

Can I modify this and if so how?

Regards,

Patrick

Yep, thats the issue, it will work in the summary, but what field to add it in so it gets exposed in RSS? (the image)

There is only title/description in the RSS feed.

Scott,

Is it possible to append the attached image src info to the RSS, prior to the summary?
rather than have to put it in summary?

Is there a way to customize the RSS feed with the [IMAGE].  Not finding a template file for the rss in the main folder or the template folders.

Perhaps a [HASIMAGE] [/HASIMAGE] section in a RSS template if the feature doesn't exist.

I use the Yahoo.Tabs module which will format an RSS feed with Images pretty nicely.  See SR950.com for an example of what that can look like.

There is no RSS template to allow you to do this currently.

I have been doing some investigation around enclosures, it seems to be the way to add attachments/images to RSS feeds.

Is that what Yahoo would use?

Looking at the RSS feed, it looks like it puts it in the description of the feed.

I'm seeing the image in a tag for the yahoo feeds.  If a template for the modules RSS feed is possible that would offer the most flexability going forward.

By the way, I am very impressed with the module and haven't even had it 24 hours yet.  Great job.

I have also been looking to see if Ultra Media Gallery could be used to display a list of featured news articles.

They support RSS and show examples of media pulled from flickr.

If we had the ability to put the attached image in the RSS this would probably work.

If we had the ability to template the RSS that would be phenominal.

I think there would be no limits.

Scott,

Do you think you will be adding the option to include the Attached image with the RSS in a near release?

I hate to be a bother. I know you are working on numerous enhancements.

Do you have a rough time estimate for the RSS templates for the News Articles?

It is a critical feature for me.

Thanks

Not at the moment, I am implementing hierarchical categories and a code redesign of many of the areas. I can't give an ETA on the changes yet.
