Hi Buck, not sure if this will make any difference

in the line:

{snipped}

articleTopCell isn't enclosed in quotes

One of the problems I have with dnn is that the html code it generates is poor, and looking at the source of your page it's really difficult to work out what css files are in use. Maybe one day dnn will structure its output better.

Cheers

Barry

(Edit: snipped the html out, maybe try attaching?)

Ah bollocks!

2 attempts and I cannot get the blessed editor to not interpret the opening and closing tags even if I write out the entity code. What I'm trying to say is that in the td tag, the class name isn't enclosed in quotes. (although even after all this effort it might not make any difference!)

Hi Barry,

Thanks for the effort and I understand what you are saying. The browser should still render the correct code.

I believe I found the culprit. When you have a archive module on the same page as the News Article module, a override of the template is taking place. I tested by setting the archive module to admin view only and, upon refresh in another browser, the correct value for articleTopCell was rendered.

If you look at:

http://www.justnorth.com/Articles/ArticleLibrary/tabid/612/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/1058/Connecting-with-Nature--Tasting-the-Time.aspx

This page is utilizing the archive module to view categories. If you drill into a article detail, you will notice the Rating header cell is blue.

Using the same template, traverse to:

http://www.justnorth.com/Articles/FeatureArticles/tabid/63/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/1041/Northern-Pike-Spearing--A-Howto-guide.aspx

This page has no archive module and the Rating header cell is the color that I assigned to articleTopCell.

Hi Scott,

If you have this on your list I will quit bringing it up. Let me know.

When the archive module is on the same page as the newsArticle module, the class articleTopCell, in the archive module overides the template in NewsArticle module.

A fix would be to just modify the module.css in the archive module - but - it will be re-written on the next version upload.

Buck

Yep, it's on my list, I think I replied to the other thread, the 3 screens (categories, search and syndication) will be moved into templates which means I can take away the module.css from archives, etc.
