Can someone confirm this issue for me?

It seems that the the pubDate for the RSS feed is showing the wrong time zone. In my case, an article was published at 08:06 PDT. The time shows correctly in the html template, but in the feed it shows 08:06 GMT. The time is right but the time zone is off.

This causes my posts to appear 7 hours old to blog sites like Technorati which generally means my posts will never show up on the first page during a search on a hot topic.

Thanks for looking into this.

By the way, I am running News Articles 5.29 on DNN 3.2.2.

I'll need to check, it should use hte portal timezone offset from the server timezone since RSS is effectively anonymous.

Curiously, I just noticed the same issue with another module (non-Ventrian... imagine!)- it's RSS also emits the correct time, but wrong time zone label (?)

I'll be curious to notice how this is resolved.

Thanks for looking into it.

I don't mind the RSS time zone being GMT. However it does have to be the right time GMT. 08:06 PDT and 08:06 GMT are not the same time.

Cheers.

Has anyone been able to provide independent confirmation of this problem in the News Articles module? Will a solution be implemented?

Thanks.

Re-bookmarked it, I'll fix it in the next release, it's a definite bug.

Did this bug make the cut for getting fixed?

Is there a place to see where bug fixes and enhancements stand in terms of priority of getting fixed/implemented?

Thanks.

No this has not been fixed yet, the list of items to be fixed is a mix between the feedback center and the forums, there is no definitive list.

The problem is some items high up on the feedback center require a substantial amount of work versus smaller bug fixes. I need to re-work the system a bit.

Hey Scott,
Just saw that you fixed this in 5.39. I installed it and it seems to be working as expected now. Thanks for the quick response.

Cheers!
