First, thank you for reading.

I have a main page, a registration page, and 10 content pages (A – J).  Each content page has a copy of the wonderful Articles module with 10 categories and the category filtered to correspond to the content page (category A tied to page A).  On the main page I have the latest article module.

I create a new article, it is secured, and place it category C, D, & G.  I have the module option secured linked to the registration page.  On the main page  I have the  latest articles module which, shows the new article created.

The issue:  when a user selects the article it takes them to page A only instead of taking them to Content Page C, D, or G.  If a user manually goes to Content Page C they will see the article and when they click on it, being that they are not registered,  it displays the registration page (as was configured in the module option).

How can I get the latest article listing to launch the correct content page that corresponds to the article?

Any insight, advice, questions, or comments are appreciated.

Hmm, I'm not sure if latest articles is smart enough to do this yet. This would be a tricky feature to implement by linking to the correct page.

If you had seperate instances of latest articles it would work OK I think.

The suggestion is to place a latest article module instance for each content page (A-J) on the main page to reflect any new article item added to a content page? Thus, on the main page there would be 10 instances of latest articles modules.

I am using a copy of one instance of the articles module and just filtering on each content page. I have copied that module to the other content pages and modified the filter.

Is their alternative solution to combining all the latest article items from a copied (multi-filtered) single instance of the articles module?

The goal is to publish information in a specific category, have pages that contain articles relating to that category, and the main page to provide a summary teaser of the various articles scattered throughout all the categories. Any ideas to meet this goal?

Someone suggested to me using RSS, that was it. They were pretty vague. Anyone have any ideas as to what they are referring to?

Is there any information on the use, tips, or tricks of using the latest article module?

I was thinking about the issue I posed earlier, what does the latest article module launch? Does it go to a specific page or does it stay on the same page?

In other words, if on the main page I have an instance of the latest article, where should I place the articles module so that when a user selects an item in the latest article module it produces the full article.

Is it the latest article module that produces the full article or is the user taken to the first instance of the article module that produces the article.

Could I create a content page called Latest Article, place the first instance of the Article module on that page, and then on the main page place the Latest Article Module. When a user selects it launches that page right?

Thus, I would have:

Main page (article teasers) contains Latest Article module
Latest Article Page (non filtered first instance of the Article module)
Content Page A (filtered copy of the Article module on category A)
Content Page B (filtered copy of the Article module on category B)
Content Page C (filtered copy of the Article module on category C)
.
.
.

Would this work? I tried but does not seem to be working. However, I could be doing something wrong since I have instances of modules everywhere now. Any insight is much appreciated.
