I have the latest version of Simple Gallery and noticed that the search integration only accounts for the physical name of the photo. Is it possible to have the search use the Name and Description when searching?

I checked the code, it should add name and description. The file name is often the name when uploading as a zip, is that what is getting confused? |

It was a while back when I made this post. I've upgraded a few things, and for whatever reason my tests today appear to be workiing. <shrug>.
I'm a programmer too; nothing worse than a vague bug description that can't be reproduced. Sorry about that.

Remember that search is a background task thing, so results don't normally appear immediately. |

That could be it. I thought I waited 24 hours and then verified that it wasn't working, but who knows. I was setting up the entire website and had a lot to keep track of. I probably overlooked it, and logged the defect to early.  |

So far, I cannot get search to return any results from the SimpleGallery (or the Articles). The only results are from the core DNN text/html modules...
Knowing as little as I do about DNN, I don't know what to do now. I tried re-indexing content as host (as feebly suggested on DNN forums)- to no avail.
Any suggestions?

partial success- after updating the host|search to include numbers- I can find the filenames (they are all numbered files) BUT the image descriptions (and articles content...) still escape the search

Simple Gallery will automatically go in the search, it will put the name of the photo and description.
Articles need to be turned on in admin options for it to be indexed.
Remember to search on full words, the indexer isn't too good on partial matches. |

I figured it was something simple like that, and I actually solved that by just looking carefully at the Admin for the Articles.
Short of linking a gallery item to an article though (which is not a bad idea)- what do I need to do to get the Simple Gallery descriptions to return a DNN search result? I cannot find the same admin/setup "Allow Core Search Integration?" for the Gallery.
