Hi.

I have started to localize 02.02.06 to danish, and I can't seem to find  "Done. All images processed, click next to describe photos." that appears on the step 2 of 3 under Add New Photo when you have selected the photo.

I have surfed through the .ascx files, but I haven't found it. I am sorry if I just missed it, but I really don't think it is there.

Oh, and while I'm at it: Is the lightbox localizable?

Any thoughts on how to achieve this Scott?  I've looked at the SWFUpload source and it doesn't look as though localization is an option.

Shouldn't that really be one of the consideration in the selection of plug-ins, rather than an after thought?

To date we've (the community that don't use English only for our sites) not been very lucky with your choices - both the lightbox and the SWFUpload look as though they are going to be headaches and problably are not going to be resolved (how long has lightbox been in the product?).

Perhaps localization could be a little higher on the list of requirements for compatability - I'd prefer an uploader that's a little less sexy but can be understood by my users.

I'm sorry, there are many competing priorities for the product. Localization can be achieved, it just requires the dynamic labels to be written to the page as javascript. Lightbox and SWFUpload will be localized at the same time.

Ok - Maybe I was having a bad day - the localization issues with both controls are not that big an impact. Still, I do think that it need to be high on the list of priorities - I can't imagine you'd launch a control that was only in French, for example - even if it did look great. I'm sure I'm in a minority, but looking at the forum posts, it's not an insignificant one.

While I'm on my soapbox - how about creating an area where language packs for your products can be posted? I'd be happy to upload the translations I have. Having just spent most of yesterday PM re-translating Simple Gallery, it's frustrating to think that there's a translation already done and out there - I'd be happy to share the load a bit.

Caroig,

It seems like the "Done. All images ... etc" are comming from the javascript (see this post).

Let's hope that Scott is able to get this localizeble like he said.

Marc

Great stuff!!

As always there's a but -

Is it possible to make the choice of shortcut keys configurable?  C N & P are fine in English but not very useful in other languages (Spanish would be C P & A for example).

Yeahh - really a great improvement.
The shortcut topic is what i noticed too. But hey - you can even use the arrow keys.

Thanks Scott for another great update,
Joe

Hi Scott,

This is a great update, but it would be nice to see those shortcut keys work in alternative languages aswell. I'll have to agree on this one with caroig.

I'll add some options in for the shortcut keys, should be easy to do.
