Hi,
Just upgraded DNN and Gallerymodule. When setting it to Lightbox, then nothing happens. Do I need to install some AJAX libraries?
Thanks, Rainer |

The libraries should come with it.
What version of DNN are you using? |

| I use DNN 4.5 . I now reinstalled SimpleGallery. LightBox now works on some Computers. On others the page is getting longer and the picture is at the bottom. So I switched it off again. |

| When you say 4.5, is that 4.5.1? |

Also with 4.5.1. Here a small summary:
WinXP + FF 2: lightbox works
WinXP + IE7: lightbox works
Win2003 + FF 2: ligthbox does not work; every time you select a picture, it is added at the far end of the page
Win2003 + IE6: no lightbox but showing in smae window (guess it's ok because IE is very limited because of security settings in Server2003)

I have the same issue. On some galleries where lightbox is the display method the image just opens in the same window (using IE), just the image. The same machine different site same version and Lightbox works just fine. Same machine same site using FF and Lightbox works.
Dnn 4.5.1 and 2.1.7 (but this was happening with previous versions as well) |

Same issue, Jack.
If I have 20 pics in a category, the first 10 open as you describe.
I might click number 15 and the lightbox kicks in.

I am aware of the alignment issue in FireFox caused by the latest build.
If the lightbox is going to the image, it means that either the page hasn't finished loading OR there is a problem with the script.
The slimbox script I have been looking at fixes the page not being loaded issue, although I am having a few problems implementing it (re: positioning).
Can you provide some links. |

| I can provide links but it won't matter. It will work for you. This seems to be a computer specific issue and only with someone who has visited the page prior to implementing the lightbox mode. |

| If you are having a proble with a specific computer, try clearing the cache. It might be a cached version of the lightbox. |

Also, there is an 'issue' (feature? shrug) with lightbox so that you have to wait for all the images on the page to finish loading before it will kick in properly. If you try to click on an image before they've all finished downloading, you will get the 'horrible image in IE view'.
That was one of the main benefits of using Slimbox, it loads the Lightbox type view without needing all the images to finish downloading first... but I think there are issues with mootools (which is uses) clashing with DNN core JS functions, which is possibly why Scott went with this version.

Yes, slimbox fixes this, but the positioning doesn't work properly which like you have stated is probably caused by mootools. Everything seemed to work, except that it wouldn't pick up the correct position on the screen. |
