Sorry if this has been posted before, or it is working as intended (I don't hope so).
This is what I've learned so far:
If you allow upload and edit for a role through the module's special settings page, this happens:
- The role can edit the pictures but not the albums (no pencil next to the albums).
- The role can upload single pictures and .zip-files.
- Only the single pictures are visible in the gallery.
- Someone that can edit the albums need to synchronize them before the pictures from the .zip-files become visible.
Now, if you also allow a role to edit the module through the module's built-in settings page...
- The role can now edit albums as well.
- If a role uploads .zip-files, the pictures will become visible without further actions.
My setup:
- DNN 3.3.1 (upgraded from 3.2.2 via 3.3.0)
- Shared hosting environment
- SimpleGallery 01.09.08 (upgraded multiple times from previous versions, numerous pictures imported from old portal after initial install)

Oh, I forgot (don't know if it's relevant):
I run the module without a visible container.
By the way, for those of us that run the module without a visible container, it would be cool with an "Edit Albums" link next to the "Add Photo" link in the right upper corner of the module.
IMHO it's a bit counter-intuitive to have to go through "Add new photo".
Should I send this suggestion through the Feedback Center too?

Hi Tom,
This isn't normal behaviour:-
If someone with edit access uploads a zip file, the images should be visible (unless they don't have approval access) |
