Is there a way in which I can FTP photos instead of running them through the gallery module.  I have 500 photos (246 MB)  that I want to include in an album.  Can I do this through the tool.  Reading past threads I know I would have to modify the size and time for the transfer, but can I go that high?

I have access to the server and can FTP directly to the file space.  Is there a way I can copy the files native in an album that I create.  Will doing this create any issues?

Thank you for helping

There is a synchronize function for an album that will synch it with what is in the filesystem, so if you upload the photos, you could try running this?

Scott,

I did not use zip. I just uploaded files to the directory and tried to synch it.

Yes, how many files are we talking about though? Sometimes this error can be thrown if an image is in a format that simple gallery has issues with.

OK, I must admit I did not think of that. I tried again with 4 photos only and made sure they are all in the correct jpg fomat and it worked.
I'll try to increse the number of photos uploaded and we'll see how it will work.
Actually, I think the reason could be the format since I had some problems with some photos not saved correctly, but didi not relate the synch problem to it.

Thanks for the tip.

Tiram
