When I upgraded Simple Gallery from version 1.09.03 to 1.09.06 the module I had set up previously and added numerous photos to, was deleted. The images are still in the database but the original module has been deleted from the page. Is there any way I can add a new module and tell it to use the existing set of picurres in the database? The module could not be found in the recycle bin or anywhere else.

Hmm, did you get any SQL errors during the upgrade?

You could run an update statement on the album and photo tables to update the moduleid to point to another instance.

I did not get any install errors during the upgrade. I have manually updated all the album and picture moduleID's to the new module instance I created after the upgrade. This has worked to restore my Simple Gallery as it was before. However, I still have some minor issues with borders rendering on the left and right side of thumbnails.

P.S. The spell checker on this forum is not working for me at all. I always get a popup stating that spell checking is complete, but the text still has obvious errors. In addition, the Google toolbar spell checker is not able to spell check the text box of this forum editor. When you try, the text box turns blank. Is this a shortcoming of the editor you are using?

The issue with left and right hand borders might be that you viewing space for looking at thumbnails is too narrow, so the side images are cut short.

Try changign the number of thumbnails per row, this should bring up those side borders.

I'll examine the text editor, not sure what is going on there.

I had the same problem with uprading to the latest Gallery version on my Church site - it made the main gallery page disappear! However the Simple Gallery Random is still showing the pictures! Anyone can help tell me how to fix it?

Hi glenwin,

What version were you upgrading from?

You need to have access to the database to update the moduleID's, I can help you, if you send me an email to support@ventrian.com

This isn't the normal behaviour, so I'm curious to know what happened.
