Can this module be used for accepting Donation where user can enter their own amount?

It could, if you want them to be automatically added to a role and pay via paypal.

Yea, you can create a role for the poeple who donated. Which is good so you can send them newsletter emails and keep in contact. Probably best if you have set donation ammounts, I don't believe you can offer to them the ability to enter their own amount to donate.
