Hi,
I have a css class that I use to format the child links. My problem is that if the admin set the the module in a page he have to go to the body html box and add the class="linksClass" to the code there.
Looking at the source I see that this part is a constant.
Is there a way to override this without changing the source?
Thanks,
Tiram

I'm not really sure what you asking for.

Are you saying that child links emits extra html that is not part of what you specify in view options?

Or do you want to permenantly add linksClass to surround the module?

I am talking about the css that I add to the  "body html box" in the view options page. the default code there is

a  href="[LINK]" title="[DESCRIPTION]">[NAME]

And I want it to be always

a class="sidelinks divsidelinks" href="[LINK]" title="[DESCRIPTION]">[NAME]

Please see the snap shot attached.

Oh right, if you want to change it to be a "default" for all new instances of the module, this would require a recompilation.

I am aware of that and is exactly what I am trying to avoid. I may suggest it as a feature request. I can imagine many scenarios that call for this.

I also think it would be a good idea if you could change the default HTML header, body, and footer as I want to use unordered lists for all child link modules. Would it be possible to use templates for this like News Articles Scott???

I could add an option in the view options so you can set as the default for all portals on that portal. This would then come into effect for all child links that do not have there own custom template.

This setting would only be available to host users.

Ok can you add it to the feedback centre, so it doesn't get lost.

Hi Scott,

Is there any update on this? I am launching a new site for a client at the end of the month and I would really like this to be working by then if possible.

Thanks
