Hi Scott,
Do you plan to allow attached files for products?
For example if an estate agent wants to supply a video to show the house it could be good to have somewhere on the product page a links area. The visitor would click the link and watch the video in Media Player. Attached files could also be a map image or MS Word document for example.

I had planned some customs fields that could be used for these purposes.. |

Hi,
Do you have some news about the estate (product) module?

Here is a DNN version. Looks OK, but I don't like the country -> State -> county -> City drill down. Some clients who are interested will only be in a single city and don't want this overhead.

ooo ooo, is this module request starting to heat up again? Count me in!
Not happy with the above real estate solution either. It misses the mark. |

I was planning on designing the module like the following:-
http://www.mosets.com/hot_property/overview/hot_property/
It has custom properties and the ability to search on those custom properties, check out the demo and let me know what you think? |

Scott,
I'd jump ship from DNN to Mambo for a feature set like this. If you come anywhere near this, you will have a serious winner. There is almost no feature of that product that I would say to leave off.
At the core of this module is the ability to serve an individual agent as well as a group of agents, all working for the same company.
I will definitely use this module myself at my website. However, I can easily see the value of setting this up for my technically challenged broker and offering it to all agents in our group. So I can use this product in both modes immediately.
I'm not going to ask for/rank specific features unless you want me to; I think they're all great features. However, back to serving one agent vs. many - I would love to have the ability to use it in either mode. I see the single agent mode having a cleaner, less cluttered interface while the company/multi mode obviously has options to select different agents/properties/extra fields/whatever. Great for the company website and great for the company manager, too.
Holler if I can be of any assistance.
Does this mean that you're working on this module?

Hi Scott,
Yes, the dual mode is why it is called Estate Agent, so it can serve both purposes.
I'm just finishing a small contracting project that will fund the next few months of development - hopefully next week I'm back to full time working on estate agent (which i've only done db design) and subscription tools which I've been making some progress on.
Bug fixes and small enhancements are still happening in the background too. |

Hi Scott, I'm new to your site and DNN, but a longtime convert to .net from j2ee. I just wanted to chime in and say that I'm very interested in a module for real estate agents and property listings and am eagerly awaiting a release...
Best of luck and let me know if I can help out in any way.
Jeff. |

I happily tripped over the Real Estate Module project...I've been looking everywhere for this!
I have had tremendous success with the Simple Gallery and anxiously await the new version.
Now I have a site that doesn't sell homes, but prepared sets of home plans (designs, floorplans, blueprints, etc.) While not for a real estate agent exactly, I believe the proposed Real Estate Module will work for my purposes. I just wanted to make sure these fields are included (or some "create your own extra fields" feature is added)
- Plan Name
- Style of Home (Bungalow, etc.)
- Number of Bedrooms
- Number of Bathrooms
- Square Footage
Thanx and I hope you get a chance to work on this soon! (Of course, I'm champing at the bit for the next release of Simple Gallery, too!!!)
Thanx, John Daigle, Evergreen Colorado |

Yep, these would be custom properties you could use.

All I can say, is end of the year, because I can't see it getting done in the next few weeks. It will be available through subscription on this site ($20 for 3 month, $35 for 1 year) |
