Hello,

I'm not sure if this is an isolated issue.. I've looked into it briefly online but haven't been able to find much documentation (actually, none at all) on the issue.

For my newest DNN project, I am going full steam with using DIV Layouts and also getting DNN to be XHTML compliant. I am not so sure if this is caused by XHTML, or DIV's, or the combination of both, but I found that while hovering the page(s), the cursor seems to turn from the default cursor into the "text" pointer (the horizontal line to designate typing).

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: I just went to NBA.com and noticed that it suffers from a simlar issue in between content (in the spacing of the columns). I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.8.

Danny

I'm working on a pure css skin and I'm also trying to make my portal xhtml 1.1 compliant. I don't have that cursor issue, but I am, however, getting some other very weird behavior.

I will try to post some examples when I get the time - I'm about to move from Denmark to the UK for a new job so it could take a few days :)

Hello Tom,

There are a ton of modifications you need to do to the coreto get it XHTML compliant (even for transitional). Have you had the chance the look into some of it? I've looked into it quite a bit, and simply changing the DOCTYPE is not enough at the current moment, as many of the older DNN code does not generate correctly with self-closing tags, etc.

Hi mr_dimsum,

Some of  is not that complicated:

You can see and read more info in my website.

Basically you will need:

1. Valid default.aspx file. ( You can download it in my website.)

2. Valid skin and containers package. ( You can purchase one it in my website). That would include the css files for skin and containers, ascx files and the doctype xml.

3. Valid default.css and portal.css which you can copy from my website, or by using the developer tool bar or by clicking on the "valid css link" and then they let you see the file.

4.Valid modules- here is the main work.

That's it.

About the mouse issue, I don't really care about it too much. I do not think you can do much about it.

I'm thinking changing the cursor through CSS would do the trick, but I would rather figure out "why" it's doing it first, than apply a little trick through CSS.
