Hey everyone. I have been trying to find an answer to this, common problem I would think, but with no luck so far..

I just launched a new site, powered by DNN 3.3.4. In the past I had a strict HTML page on that domain and I know that many of the visitors, including search engines, have some previous links saved that are no longer active.

How can i set up so that when someone enters a link that is not active anymore, they will all be redirected to the home page, or a custom error page? I think it is called http errors or something like that? I have checked the box in host settings that say "Use custom error page", but that did not help...THANKS

This is setting in IIS for 404's I think. That's what you mean by a Http Error right?

You would make the 404 error page equal to the home page of your site.

The "custom error page" in IIS, just hides the errors from non-priveleged users, these are errors that occur in ASP.NET, a requested html file, does not enter the ASPNET process.

Thanks Scott! This solved it. The funny thing is that I put in a support ticket to WH4L and they told me I need to go in and edit the web.config file :) Need a job at WH4L Scott?

GREAT!
