The RSS import is a great feature. I would like to see it expanded to include two things.

First:

The RSS 2 spec has an "enclosure" tag for each incoming item. This tag can contain a link to enclosed media.

It would be fantastic if the News Article importer saw that tag, recognized that the mime type was image/jpeg and then associated that image URL with the article Image (note this could be done with other mime types as well for audio or video... but image/jpeg is an immediate need of mine). This would allow separating article images from description bodies - which would be really useful in the existing templating engine.

Second:

The RSS 2 spec has a "source" tag that provides an XML url to the article source and is often used to name the original news source of the item.

It would be fantastic if both the url and original source name were stored for the article and accessible to the templating engine.

Thanks for a great product!

Jared

Seems the forum stripped out my samples! That's okay - both tags that I mentioned are explained here:
