Please fix the news module so that when DNN is in "View mode" the edit pencils disappear, and when in "edit mode" they re-appear. Yours is the only module on our site that does not exhibit this behavior. Please see below link for a screenshot of our site showing the issue.

It needs to be there, because it gives "edit" access to those who do not have edit access over the entire module.
e.g. an approver might not have edit access on the page but still needs to edit an article.
I can provide some additional checks to say if you have edit access on the page and its not in preview mode, but I am explaining why it functions as it does today. |

Any progress on this? My biggest issue is on the front page "recent news". All other modules on the site show edit controls only when in edit mode. Can you fix this please?

| FWIW, I got around this by removing the edit link from my Latest Articles template and only having it in the View.Item template. Users then have to view the article before editing it, which is preferrable in my case. |
