Hi Scott,
Have you had a chance to work on this? I'm keen to do some testing and release it to the world ;) |

Hi Scott,
As a fellow developer I know how busy one can be, but can you give me an update on this please (a "working on it soon" is fine even ;) - I am getting some pressure about this feature (I should not have mentioned it in my Release Notes) and I would like to go back with something please.
Thanks

| Sorry Rodney for the delay, now that property agent is out, I will do it first thing in the morning.. I have a few other enhancements to do for PM too. |

OK - for this to work the module is expecting:-
SessionLoad=1 in QueryString
A comma delimited session value called "UserIDList" and a session entry of "UserIDListName" |

Ok, but if the listname is not passed in will it default to Group as discussed earlier? (I released the module before you mentioned that). If not then I can do a point release, but a default would be easier).
Looking forward to testing this!

Hi Scott,
Ok, I tried it and it did not load up the ID's -
Before I spend too much time setting up the source in dev (I use the WAP model and I think you use the WSP model?), can you just confirm that this is correct. This is the URL that is used when you click on "Send Message": http://localhost/DotNetNuke_2/Home/PrivateMessages/tabid/175/type/Compose/SessionLoad/1/Default.aspx
And will it work if I am not setting the UserIDListName session var? Does it put this value in to the "Send To User" textbox? (and therefore it is mandatory?)

| It will only appear if there is something in UserIDList, is there something in it? |

Hi Scott,
No, it's not working. I have not set up the source for PM, but my code is setting the session variable. I have not had time to look into it anymore - will try in a day or two.

Hi Scott,
Ok - I finally found some time to set up PM in debug mode.
This is what I discovered: The link on my Group page (NavigateURL of HyperLink Control) is "http://localhost/dotnetnuke_2/Home/PrivateMessages/tabid/180/type/Compose/SessionLoad/1/Default.aspx" and yet when you click on it (or paste it into a browser), that becomes "/dotnetnuke_2/Home/PrivateMessages/tabid/180/pmType/compose/sendto/+/Default.aspx"
Does it do some sort of redirect?
So then this line of code in your PM module returns false: If Not (Request("SessionLoad") Is Nothing) Then
Interestingly, I debugged the value of Session("UserIDList") and it's also nothing... even through I am definitely adding it to the Session collection! Any ideas? |

| Hmm, it might be checking the sendTo argument as well, i'll check it out. |

Hi Scott,
I don't suppose you had any time to look at this yet? I'm releasing a new version of the Groups module today and would love to fix it...

There is a mistake in your link:-
http://localhost/dotnetnuke_2/Home/PrivateMessages/tabid/180/type/Compose/SessionLoad/1/Default.aspx
it should be:-
http://localhost/dotnetnuke_2/Home/PrivateMessages/tabid/180/pmType/Compose/SessionLoad/1/Default.aspx
You had type instead of pmType |

| Thanks Scott, that seems to be working now - what is strange is that I have always used Type and it's worked for my UserProfile... I'll let you know how the testing goes... |
