Aloha,

so some of my users (like admin) are allowed to send messages to roles, but I noticed something strange when I do that  - there are no emails sent out to everyone in the role that the message is sent to...Am I doing something wrong or is this is flaw/bug in the system?

Not sure what you mean by "no messages" sent? There are messages sent out.

There is nothing stored in sent items though, if thats what you mean.

sorry if I wasn't clear enough - you are correct messages are sent out, but if a user has set his preferences to recieve emails, no email notification is sent out that he/she recieved a private message if the private message was sent out to a role. IF the message is sent out to a specific user, the email notification is sent out...

Ok, sounds good - it is very critical though because this is the best way to handle newsletters etc (no need for opt-in/opt-out (not regarded spam...).

I know you are busy but any ETA on that?

I've re-checked the code.

When you are sending to a role, do you have the checkbox "send notification?" checked?

I ran a live test on this site and sent to all administrators. I had "send notification" checked and received the emails OK.
