Hi Scott,

As you know I am a avid user of your modules and integrate them heavily with the Smart-Thinker Product Suite. There is a feature that I have requested a long time ago which I would like to remind you of which I think could be of great benefit to both of us and all of our customers.

We really need an interface for queuing messages in your PM module. In my new PokerDIY design (test.pokerdiy.com) - I make Private Messaging a core feature of the site by adding the "x New Messages" to the top right of the pane on every page. Profiles/Events/Groups/Games/Walls etc can all send messages currently, but what I want to do is start to hook up all my Smart-Thinker modules to have the option to send a PM, email or both. For example, when you invite users to an event, or if you add them as a friend, write on their wall, add them to a group or invite them to a poker league, I want them to be able to get a PM instead of sending an email.

I think this will be really simple to do - we just need a very basic interface to queue PMs. It will add so much value to both of our product offerings and I get this feature requested a lot!

I can then update my modules to offer emailing and PM'ing in the Settings.

Let me know what you think...

Thanks
Rodney

ps - I found my original thread on this matter. I think this is a simple change which makes your modules a lot more powerful and appealing.

Thanks

No, it's not - I am working with ActiveModules and their PM API but it would be good if this mod could do it to.

Thanks

Rodney, how do you interact with the active modules component? Via a reference to an assembly or web service?

It's still in the planning phase at the moment, but from my experience with the ST StoryFeed module I would imagine it's going to be a webservice - I think this would be the easiest.

Let me know if you want to discuss it further, I think this is a relatively small bit of work with massive benefit.

Thanks

Throwing my 2 cents in. Definitely on this one. Centralized messaging with enable/disable per message type options on the user end would be awesome.
