I had a blog where i was using NA, now i installed DNN 5 since the upgrade was not possible with existing blog.

Now i want to redirect old blog posts to new locations.

What is the best practise for applying permanent redirects, so that search engines will pick up new url?

Please advise, thanks.

What you need, I think, is actually simpler than what's described in the article, but I think the basic idea is what you need.

There are other modules out there that do similar things, some free and some not. I don't know of a way to set this up so search engines pick up the redirects without using one of these modules.

There is no auto-redirect in news articles, it's something you'll need to do outside of the module.
