Is there a way to only allow an article "author" to add comments?

Perhaps a new token [ISAUTHOR] could be used.
Scenario would be to place [ISAUTHOR] token in a template so that if the author is logged in they will see the "add comment" link.  All other would not see the link.

In the future [ISAUTHOR] could be used to provide the edit link for authors to edit their own articles.

I am looking for a work around to editing an article with out giving an author auto approval status.  This would at least allow the author to add additional details.

Hopefully we will see this app evolve with version control included so that authors can edit with out auto approval.
