After exchanging emails with Scott about something similar I wanted to know if it would be possible to add email notification even when Auto Approval is selected. 

Currently (in my setup) notifications are sent to approvers, and specific email as setup in the Admin options, but I have a need for notification of every article even when it's auto approved.   I have investigated at least 4 other modules and keep coming back to Ventrian because it is the most flexible with the setup, templates, and security.

Anyway, I have submitted my request (Feedback Center) but would still like to know if anyone has done this and how?

Both if possible.   In certain instances there are visitors to a webpage which may not be registered users.   If anyone is using NA module on a site where registration is not required there are always instances where NA's can be used to post news, announcements, etc and allow notification to a large distribution list.   And yes this was the idea as the end goal state, to enable NA's as the total solution for Articles, Blogging, Announcements, and Newsletter publishing but there needs to be flexibility with how the module sends notifications.

That sounds like a nice idea, but my use is for intranet.   I am pushing the RSS feeds, but it's still relatively new to most in the company.  Everyone want's an email they can file away in a virtual folder.
