In an earlier thread there were discussions over using NA as a Digg clone. The key to doing this is the ability to vote for rather than rate a story.

To me it looks like a nice first step would be to implement the same functionality of voting to NA that already exist in the Feedback Center module. Then we will have both voting on and rating of articles.

The voting could be used for example by asking "Was this article useful to you?" Yes/no (thumbs up/down) and the rating to determine the quality on a scale 1-5. I think both options are useful side-by-side.

Of course we could discuss algorithms used for ranking by weighing all kinds of attributes, but the first step should be to keep it simple and that is - implement the already existing voting code both in NA and Latest Articles (so we can sort by votes).

Is this possible Scott? Would it take much work? I might be interested to sponsor it.
