a user to upload a picture (with a predefined extension jpg, bit, jpeg etc)? Right now only host/admin can do that. If I give user the image/links right, it takes them to the root folder and also shows other pics in that folder. I don't like this for privacy reasons.

Is there a way where a user can upload a picture, that pic is saved in his separate folder, which is not visible to other users, so he can use it in the blog/article?

Please help me with this... am be I am missing very obvious.

Thanks for your help.

So you would like a custom folder to possibly be created called /FolderPath/{UserID}/

I could probably make news articles do this.

Oh my God! Yes Please!! You would make me very happy. In attachments use upload button (admin can predefine the extensions). These uploaded pics should be saved as you indicated. No one should get to see each other's pics. It would be nice if we could decide the pic display and the upload size.

Please please. It's kind of urgent.

Thanks

okay - the module is in pieces at the moment, as I've rewritten large areas of it, so a new release is at least a few days away.

Since you are working in it, have you considered it making usable for a social networking website? Make it compatiable with Smart-thinker modules? Make t possible to use the main instance as "My blog" and "User Blog" at the same time filtered by logged in user and passed in user.

That would be very neat too!

I hope you don't mind if I keep bumping this thread till you add the upload pic button for users. Thanks for everything and considering my request.

You can already filter latest articles by ID.

I know and thanks for doing that. I am requesting you to do the same with the main article module/instance.

Thanks again.
