Hello,
I am using News Article for a long time. But I have just discovered that I have checked the box "Enable SEO title", but the pages where my articles are do not show the article title but the page title...
I have:
* SEO Title: enable
* SEO Title: [ARTICLETITLE]
Why... Any ideas ???

PS: Of course, I have checked multiple times if it was checked. I have also uncheck it and check again, without success... |

Mine works. I checked your site... the only thing I can think of is to make sure that you added the articles to the right module instance where you enabled the seo options. |

I don't see why this is a problem for Scott.
If you have "lots of pages regarded as duplicate by Google" and you recently altered the titling of your articles, then both Google and News Articles are doing their job. That is to say, at one point in the past Google indexed your site and found an article titled "blah"- then you changed the title of the same article to "Foo>blah" - isn't that duplicate content?
BTW, I can't load your site at all... |

I Googled "Title-Extreme-for-Studio" and your site has the first two returns:
1) declic-video-fx.com/.../tabid/53/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/310/Title-Extreme-for-Studio.aspx - 66k -
and
2) declic-video-fx.com/Home/tabid/36/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/310/Title-Extreme-for-Studio.aspx - 91k -
The article appears to be the same, available from two different tabs (pages) ?
In both cases it seems that "SEO Title: [ARTICLETITLE]" IS working, no? |

I am afraid that we are not talking of the same thing. I am talking of the TITLE of the page (what appears at the top of the browser, referenced as 'title of the page'). y01nk, maybe I am wrong, in this case tell me, but have a look:
- when you open the page you describe (one or the other, no matter), the title is not correct.
The title should be "Title Extreme for Studio".
Correct or not ???
And it's not the case, the title is the same than the title of the page itself, i.e.:
"Declic Video | Pinnacle Studio | HFX | Hollywood FX | ..."
As far as I understand, enabling SEO title should force the title of the page to be the same than the title of the article (in my case, should be "Title Extreme for Studio".
Look at this one: http://www.ventrian.com/Products/Modules/NewsArticles/DemoBasic/tabid/218/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/264/Weblog-Test-II.aspx
The title of the page is Weblog Test II > Ventrian Systems > Demo Basic
(which is ARTICLE TITLE > SITE TITLE > PAGE TITLE)
I believe this is the correct way of displaying it. In my case, it is not display this way. Do you see what I mean ?? Am I wrong ???

I was jumping to conclusions. Without being able to see your pages, I missed your point almost entirely, and now I am not sure I can help...
What I can say is: this works for me, and my single instance of news Articles.
How many instances of News Articles are you using?
Are they each configured the same?
Is it possible that your page loads another/different module that conflicts with the NA's title setting directive?

I am running DNN 4.5.5
y01nk, I have checked, and no other modules are running on this page (excepted a simple HTML module).
I am using DSLocalisator from Locopon to localise title pages; of course, I have disabled it to check, but even with the DSLocaliser disabled, the problem is still there...

PROBLEM SOLVED !!
It was one skin object in the "Apollo page localisation" module which was causing trouble, by forcing the injection of the title in the page.
In fact, more precisely, it is the MLPage Title skin object which handle the title.
If you REMOVE IT IN YOUR SKIN, you do not have anymore the title localised, but Ventrian NA is handling the title if you choose SEO Title...
==> Solve the problem

Scott - when you get a chance, I'd appreciate knowing your intentions on this.
What I mean is, if I need to alter the use of Apollo on the page your News module is on I'll do so, but obviously, if you can see a fix coming to get around the issue then all the better.
