I'm sorry justnorth! I had forgot I posted this here (i posted a similar question elsewhere). Didn't mean to be rude.
Thank you for the info. I didn't know about that Amazon service. I like the price structure. I am definitely going to have to check that out.
Thanks again... and sorry if I seemed ungrateful by putting you to work then disappearing. (I hate it when I do that).
Hi Rhruber,
No issues, I am here to help.
What type of SWF files do you want to control? if you are talking about web video, most folks are converting these to flv files. This is the same file extension that YouTube converts to when you upload your videos to their site.
If you are talking about video vs Flash images or games, I do have Flash players in our download section at DNNprofessor.com that will play and show controls for swf and flv videos.
These players are also readily available for purchase on the web at an average price of $39.00. Do a Google search with the phrase 'swf players'.
On our sites I am using the following modules for viewing video:
Mandeeps Live Content - http://jivemg.com/Departments/IntrotoWebVideo/tabid/309/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/66/Default.aspx
Click the watch my short video link
BizModules.net - Ultra Video Gallery - http://jivemg.com/OurVideos/VideoList/tabid/340/CategoryId/1/Default.aspx
I am currently trying to find time to build this video library up with our Jive Media video projects, but for now you can click the video channels on the left nav to get an idea of the module. It was structured to give you a YouTube type web site.
Considero Alive Media Player - http://dnnprofessor.com/DNNModuleExamples/ConsideroDemos.aspx
I am becoming quite impressed with Mandeeps's Live Content module. If you go the the homepage of http://dnnprofessor.com, click the two products on the bottom left of the page. It is a very appealing way to view products.
I will be doing some integration, soon, with the Live Content module, NewsArticles module, XMod, and the 3D Carousel 4.2 for DNN4 by MediaAnt.
I have been in conversation with Oliver Krueger, of MediaAnt, and I am quite impressed with his company and the module. I will be doing a review of this product on DNNprofessor with examples of our module integration with Carosel.
I also have some great uses in mind integrating with Scott's Quotes module. I am just waiting for Scott to upgrade the module to include the FCK editor. Hint Hint...
Welcome to the world of Web 2.0
Buck
