Hi

can the urls be made seo friendlier?

ie. instead of this:

http://www.example.co.uk/CurrentStock/tabid/1344/agentType/ViewType/PropertyTypeID/35/Default.aspx

can it be made to:

http://www.example.co.uk/antique-seating/antique-dining-chairs/

or http://www.example.co.uk/category-name/product-name/

because at the moment, althought they're fairly friendly, they're not as friendly as they could be

thanks

No it isn't possible to do this without using a third party URL rewriter

Matt,
You can get pretty close using the settings within the module. Here is an example I did for an RV dealership using Property Agent:

http://www.richsonsrv.com/Inventory/tabid/834/Type/View/ID/6927/2003-Fifth-Wheel-King-of-the-Road-King-Of-The-Road-29RL.aspx

Beyond that, I highly recommend URL Master from iFinity. They offer a very flexible solution out of the box and support vanity urls, handle the 301 redirects as well as extension less urls. They also have a url provider for News Articles and could probably be talked into creating one for Property Agent as well.

You don't need ifinity to get it in the url. But for support for using ifinity you should consult their site.

To get the details in the url like steven has mentioned, go to edit layout settings -> seo settings

In there you can set some details for the view property or view type titles.

e.g. this is what I have in my dev environment at the moment:

[CUSTOM:Title] - [TYPE]

These are the same tokens as used in the layout files for viewing a property.

Yes, like steven's url:

http://www.richsonsrv.com/Inventory/tabid/834/Type/View/ID/6927/2003-Fifth-Wheel-King-of-the-Road-King-Of-The-Road-29RL.aspx

I've also done it here:

http://www.ventrian.com/Products/Modules/PropertyAgent/Demos/TradingCards/tabid/305/cardType/View/CardID/14/Ally-1231-Chipper-Ironbane.aspx

and
