I have read through as many posts as I can find on this topic and it seems that there still is no clear answer to the issue of a profile image showing up correctly on the listing's "View" layout. I am using Smart-Thinker user Profile and the PA product. I have the templates and everything working perfectly, except for the fact that I cannot get the profile image/listing image to work together. The user profile uses [profileimage] for the vairable and PA wants [agent:image]. I started by trying agent:profileimage] in the PA layout template, but that didn't work. I read these posts and set up the PhotoUpload module for the profile and called it "photo", thus changed the variable in the listing layout to [agent;photo] and it works fine (with exception of the sizing issue). The problem is now that when the user logs into their profile page it shows the photo image path and not the photo itself (headshot in most cases) -

ex: ~/Portals/_default/UserFiles/account.test.6/Brantley_200x267v2.jpg (see attached screeentshot)

I am not sure if this is a permissions problem or what. I just don't understand how a real estate module would have this issue since the headshot/photo is such an important aspect of the proggy. Any help is greatly appreciated. This is a fantastic module and I have tested several others. They all suck compared to this one, so I want to make it work. I am at my technical end...by the way I am not a developer, so cannot modify the source code easily if that is the solution. I am a network engineer trying to play web developer.

Thanks in advance for any posts to help me!!

When this functionality was first introduced, there was a freely available extension to the core profile that allowed images. This is where [AGENT:IMAGE] started, but I don't think it's really supported in later versions of DNN, hence your issue with the profile page.

Most people now put the link into their template using the full url and passing in the [USERID] parameter while using the smart-thinker profile.

http://www.pokerdiy.com/DesktopModules/Smart-Thinker%20-%20UserProfile/Profile.ashx?id=[USERID]&w=50&h=50

The parameters w and h refer to width/height.

Hi

I had this trouble but got it sorted. See for example: http://www.perpignanonline.fr/PropertyForSale/tabid/59/agentType/View/PropertyID/124/Default.aspx

The image at the bottom (in this case Med & Mountain Properties) is a profile image. I also set it sowhen you click on it it finds all listings by that agent.

What i did: Install Smart-Thinker - UserProfile and set the agent image in there. Then in my View template ive got:

You need to change your tabid and the token for UserID is only there for the link to show all that agents properties if thats what you want.

Good luck!

Perfect, thanks to you both. Ash, I used your code and it worked! Thanks a ton!
