Hi,

so I've added the [RATING] token to the comments section, but it doesn't show (just blank) even though there are ratings added for eachof the user's that had added comments. Any thoughts on why this would occur.

Thanks

Actually figured out that I was supposed to use the COMMENTFORMRATING and that took care of it - Scott, this is not included in the latest guide, is there an updated one?

Also, I'm now running into an issue with users having the ability to submit mulitple ratings (doesn't make sense)  - any thoughts on how to restrict this? (previuous thred on this: http://www.ventrian.com/Support/ProductForums/tabid/118/forumid/38/tpage/1/view/topic/postid/31948/Default.aspx#36266)

Thanks

Daviking

Are these registered users or anonymous that are rating multiple times? For anonymous, it users a cookie to determine whether or not they have voted before.

For registered users it uses the database on the server side.

Scott,
Using the [COMMENTFORMRATING] token, registered users are able to leave multiple comments/ratings.

///Using the [COMMENTFORMRATING] token, registered users are able to leave multiple comments/ratings.///

This is correct.

Yes, what is the correct behaviour then, they can only comment once when using comment/rating?

Scott, yes, ideally a user should be able to comment/rate only once.

I believe the protocol is ratings (minus the comments) are restricted to one per user, and comments (minus ratings) allow for multiple comments.  Logically, Ratings+Comments should also be restricted to one per user.

Personally, I'm using this instance of PA as a restaurant listing with user reviews, so allowing users to submit multiple comments/ratings doesn't make sense.  I can't think of an instance where one would need to allow for multiple ratings/comments per user!

So if a person has already comment+rated the article, they wouldn't even see the comment form at all.

Hmmm, I suppose so.

One solution could be a token such as [HasNotRated] to wrap around the comment/rating box?
