Can custom fields be imported into a new template? I started with the Real Estate template. I added custom fields and setup the rest of the module to suit my needs. However, the Real Estate Layout Files for listing, view, featured, and latest seem too complex and it seems like adding to the Simple Template would be easier than deleteing then adding to the Real Estate. Can all the settings, fields, files, etc be exported and imported into a new page with a different template selected? What would happen if I just changed the template on the current, cusomized PA? Would I loose any settings? Is there a recommended approach to edit the Layout Files in a WYSIWYG editor, then split them apart for saving in the PA? Could I just copy and paste into the current template's layout files the code from a Simple Template's layout files?

Yes you can. You can use any template all you need to do is make sure that you have either all of your custom feilds in the new template such as [Custom:yourfeilds] or have the general token that will automatically load all the custom feilds. I hope that helps
