One of my custom fields is a radio button option, but instead of text in the field elements, it has four image options ([img src="xxx" title="xxx" alt="xxx"]|[[img src="xxx" title="xxx" alt="xxx"]|etc).  It works fine, in that it displays the images when adding the property and when displaying the listing. 

The Problem:  I have set the field as searchable, but when I search (via the PA Search module or landing page search) by choosing any of the image options, I get the "No results match your criteria" message though there are definitely properties that correspond to that option. 

I have confirmed that the same thing happens if I have the images set as options in a multi-checkbox field, thus it appears to be a problem with images as custom field options, not just with the radio buttons.

I would really like to offer the choice to search by this field (it's for a restaurant listing, and the images are smileys denoting a sort of rating).  Is there something I can do on my end?  Or does PA intrinsically not support the use of custom fields in this manner?  If so, is there any chance of tweaking the search to pull up the results?
