I like this feature a lot. For my use case normal users should not see the publishing details. However, I would like for the admins to still see them. This way the admins can use the feature option + change publishing options if necessary. Can we have this still visible for Admins even if checked??
Thanks.

Hello,
I am in the same situation here.
Has there been a resolution to this dilemma?
We want to hide the publishing details from the users who post thier information.
We then want an administrator to approve thier information and set the publishing dates.
THis is for a business directory that will all the businesses to post thier own information but they must be approved and sign an agreement (manual process) before their listing is made live on the website.
Please let me know if the latests release of Property Agent will allow us to properly hide publishing details from the users but still allow the administrators to see and edit it.
Thanks, --Steven |

Scott, I hate to be so pushy, but will this be in a new release? And how soon until we can download and implement it? I have to let my client know a time frame. Also, do you know if there is way we can hide the "Property Manager" link from non-admins? We want users to send thier information and images but not publish (or edit) them in the future. Removing the publish information will do the first, but if a user comes back to the site, they will be able to edit thier listing. Unless you are able to remove the publishing details from the edit window also? It would be best if we could just remove the link to "Property Manager" for non admins. Removing the link should be sufficient enough for our purposes. Can you create an option for this also? Thanks, --Steven |

| I came across this issue too I hide them, but when I need to view the details I always have to go into the settings and remove it for a bit. This will be a great enhancement! |

I can put out a release by the end of the week, I'm trying to integrate some geocoding into the module at the moment, that is the reason for the delay. I can add a role check token to that top template which would allow you to hide the property manager detail. |

The end of the week sounds great. What do you mean by role check token? Is this something we can configure through the admin for your module? Would this be instance specific. I ask this because we have other instances of your property manager running on the same DNN installation and even another instance on the same portal. I dont want to effect those if at all possible. They server different functions (such as letting users post thier own classified ads) Thanks again, --Steven |

In that header template, it would be [ISINROLE:Administrators]Property Manager Link[/ISINROLE:Administrators] It would only affect that particular module, not any other instances running on the portal |

Scott, It has been several weeks. Is the new release ready? My client is starting to really bug me about this and I would like to get it done for them asap. I am just waiting for you to let me know the module is ready and I will renew my subscription. Thanks, --Steven |

Sorry for the delay, I have been implementing Hierarchical categories for news articles and mapping for property agent (these are the reasons for the lack of updates over the past 2 weeks). |

Scott, Do you have a realistic timeframe for when this will be ready. I have told my client that it would be ready a couple weeks ago. Now that it is late, they are asking me when it will be ready and I dont have an answer for them. Your help is greatly appreciated. Maybe you could just release the quick updates that we need and then do the mapping updates after. (I assume that my request is quick - in relation to your other tasks - but dont really know) Thanks, --Steven |

No, I don't have a realistic time, the mapping component for property agent is taking a while to implement. So the code is already partially upgraded, to do what you ask would require me to back out all my changes and implement the item you ask for. This would also cause me even more headaches because I have sent updated builds to a user for testing (the mapping code). |

Scott,
It would be very helpful if you could seperate them into two tokens, and provide a link so we could use an image for that.
Thanks!
Steve

Your example was [ISINROLE:Administrators]Property Manager Link[/ISINROLE:Administrators]. My suggestion would be "[Add Property Token] [ISINROLE:Administrators][Manage Property Token][/ISINROLE:Administrators]" In that scenario you could allow people to add an not manage - you might already be thinking of that and I just assumed your post was both links. The other part of my suggestion is just to make it something that could be put in an a href tag that can be wrapped around an image. Thanks! Steve |

If that area is tokenized, it would have to tokens. The header isn't templateable yet. |

Scott, Any time frame on the release of the Hide Publishing Details as described above? I am not able to just run blindly as I need to inform my client of the status of thier project. If you cannot give me a time frame, I will tell my client it can not be done and we will look for another solution. I have waited as long as I can but I have to give an answer to my client. Please let me know if you have a scheduled release for this update. Thank you, --Steven |

I'm halfway through some mapping enhancements, so I can't release an updated build without finishing that work. This was mentioned earlier in the thread. There are multiple things you have asked for:- 1.) Make hide publishing details configurable in edit permissions. 2.) Make the add new property and property manager links templateable. If you want this done faster than the normal release cycle, I can provide you with a quote for these items (support@ventrian.com). |
