I'd really like an option to removed extra markup from my list and latest property views.

What I want to achieve is a generating a simple UL list from both modules.  The problem is that whatever content I put in the templates is wrapped in a table.  My header UL becomes a table row as do each of my list items.

I'd really, really like to get rid of the tables and just be able to use my templates clean.  Any chance of an option to switch off all this extra markup?

I was asking from Scott a fluid layout option some long time ago.
except of saving markup and avoiding some hard coded tables valigns, now with all the new tokens you will also be able to create different templates inside the template. for example, using tabs: different layout for text, for thmbnails, for features, etc". also we will be able to use fluid skin layout so if it is a narrow screen we will see three types or images rows, and if it is a wild we will see 6 for example.
i know Scott will get to it one day, mean while many other things were and are evolved...

Is there any chance of this being considered as a change?

I'd like to see a version of types, latest, list, featured, photos (first, item) and comments with a no markup option.  I guess would invalidate the items/row options, but the items/page would still be useful.

Yes, you are right, it does invalidate the items per row options, but you could probably do that in divs anyway.
